The Origin of Anji White Tea

Anji White Tea is one of the six major Chinese Green Tea and produced in Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is named after picking from one kind tea tree whose tender leaves are white. In spring, the tender buds sprouting before Qingming are white because of the absence of chlorophyll. Before Grain Rain,the color turn pale. From the rain to the summer solstice, it gradually turns to white-green leaves. To summer, the bud leaves are completely green and are similar to the common green tea. Anji White Tea is picked and produced in the special albefaction period. So The color of Anji White Tea Leaves are jade-white.
